Life, Kids, Technology & that move to another continent
It was only halfway done brewing however I couldn’t wait and drank from my first batch of cold brew of the season. About 8 more hours to go and still delicious.
Thanks to my little one for letting me borrow the Darth Vader bottle or else nothing else I had would have fit enough of it
I came home late tonight. I almost should’ve been sleeping however I was up and heard me. She came downstairs and insisted on a kiss good night. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and then proceeded to tell me that I need to shave since my cheek scratched her lip.
Apparently everyone is a critic.
If I ever wasn’t sure how different my kids are it is this candy challenge. On the way home from Covent Gardens I promised we could goto a candy store we have seen a few times. I steered them away from a few things however was generally encouraging to have the girls pick something they liked. The older one picked the large chocolate lollipop and i was thinking it was a bit big but why not. The younger one picked the tiny lolly pop over chocolates Carmela’s and other stuff. I endured up getting a bag of salted Carmel’s on top of what they choose just so she could have something else too. The guy at the check out gave me her tiny lolly for free since they typically charge by weight.
The funny thing is they both were very happy! The trip home was uneventful. That was half the reason to get the treats!
I am with John Stewart on the whole Passover vs Easter as a father of mixed faith (sorta neither faith however following stories of both). This is a video from a few years ago however its still as funny today as it was then. So true. Passover is such a harder sell than Easter. Just look at the photo of our Easter spread that is the setup for our egg hunt with the girls tomorrow. On the Passover front they may get some soup and chocolate covered matzoh.
The girls had me read this again today. I haven’t read it in at least a year. Such a fun book. One of my favorites if not my fav from when they were little.
Compulsory tickling when the hippos went berserk was also successful!
2nd data breach in a week or so where my data is exposed. “Under Armour discloses breach of 150 million MyFitnessPal user accounts” it is the 3rd or maybe 4th in a year. On one hand really glad I use one off emails and random passwords for MyFitnessPal. On the other hand compared to the Equifax breach this is nothing:(
I am living the life of leasure. The girls insisted on helping fold laundry and now wont let me carry it upstairs or put it away. I could get used to this.
Pondering what sort of mischief I will get in with the girls while M is in the US? According to them it will involve paper, beads, and glue tonight.
My new Pi 3 B+ arrived today. All my other Raspberry Pi’s are 2’s so this one should be significantly more powerful. I didn’t really “need” it however I wanted to play around with it. I haven’t written longer posts in a while however I now am using a Pi for RetroPi game console, an OSMC (Kodi Open Source Media Center) and two other ones I am trying to setup a docker swarm with. I hope to write more about my projects later. Now off to install Rasbian.
