Friday in The Office And Drinks With Friends

Today was an extremely long day at work. Typically I work from home on Friday, but today I had a face to face meeting. On the plus side it is always good to see a lot of people on a project, but on the downside it was a two-hour lunch meeting. Overall it was a good day, but extremely hectic and long.

After work I met up with a few friends that I had not seen in a while. It was good to have a drink with Luke and talk with Vanessa and her friends, but separately since she had to go early. I was happy that I stuck to my two-drink maximum, even though I don’t normally.

I think it home too early or too late. I was also glad that the weather cleared and it was actually a pretty nice evening.

The Missing Week Or So

The past week or two has been actually very hectic. Typically when I’m really busy I still try to write about my experiences and post date blog entries. Over the past week or two it had been so hectic I haven’t really thought about what has been going on, so I have not written anything down. That’s not being that I haven’t been doing very much. Actually I think I’ve been out off every night during the week, and all last weekend. I will endeavor to try and keep track of what’s going on more.

Relaxing Saturday

Today I didn’t go out or “do” anything and I was totally happy doing it. I have had plans or been running around for most of the past 8 weeks so it was nice to decompress a bit. I honestly can’t really remember well the good thing. I was that good at relaxing, and doing nothing.

Company Shwag

I found a note about a company store website where I can get stuff with the company logo. I had bought a polo and an unbrella on another site a few months ago but the selection wasn’t so great. I was eager to check out the new site. I bought two polos, and a fleet of top. If the polls fit well probably buy more.

Canceled Plans

Tonight was the 2nd thursday in a row I had plans that got canceled. Part of me with a little relieved, because I was really tired. Of course it is never fun Plan canceled. Other than that it was a typical day at the office.

I almost totally forgot that today with tax day. That is what happens when I do my taxes and get a return early.

Not sure what was up this morning but I was super tired. With a full day of meetings and no time for anything else I opted to work from home.I haven’t been typically working from home on Wednesday anymore but like today I still do it sometimes. I’m very thankful that I have up to. Other than that what was good, and today was a generally ordinary day.

Atlantic City Weekend

This weekend Jason, John, Phil, and I went to Atlantic City to celebrate John’s birthday. I personally haven’t been to Atlantic City that often. is actually my third time going. The last time was actually for John special party. Jason or John I can remember Alan that New Jersey transit has a train that goes directly to Atlantic City. The Atlantic city express service or a ACES was pretty cool. All us decided to take the train and we went first class since it wasn’t on the former. The train was basically a modified New Jersey transit double-decker train that makes one stop in Newark and then goes express all the way AC. We got there in the afternoon played a little then grab dinner at the same restaurant that Sean has battled party at since he liked it. Our plans to do a torment got messed up since dinner took way too long we had a good time.

after dinner. After dinner we ended up playing at the hotel we’re staying at. Jason played slots most of the night. I played video poker and some slots with him. Then I play roulette with John and Phil for a while and now my own. I decided one I won by betting on 21 straight up that was probably a good idea to stop. At that exact point several peoples who are smoking decided to sit down, and I almost made my money back. So in the end mice travel costs food the hotel etc. I was only down $15 gambling. The good news when I was after several hours of flying, so for me I consider that money well spent on entertainment area

Jason John and I ended up at a 24-hour diner for dessert word breakfast depending on who you talk to before we ended up turning in around one or two. We got up early the next morning had breakfast since we had a relatively early train to catch. I was actually very happy with the train service especially since I was home by 2 PM.

Overall it was a great weekend away.

Passover With The Family

Today was the first night of Passover. My family met at my brother-in-law’s dads apartment in the city. There were a lot of people there. Besides my sister, her husband, and her three kids, my brother-in-law’s sister, her husband and 3 kids, my brother-inlaw’s dad, his brother and some of his grandchildren. In total there were nine kids, and become adults. We did an extremely abridged children’s seder. It was good seeing everybody had a great time playing with the kids. I’ve also happy that I was able to get a ride home from my parents, but usually do when we go to Donnie.

Suprise, Yes I bought An iPad

Air that most of my friends will not be surprised to find out when I bought the iPad. I pre-ordered it the first chance I got. It arrived this Saturday. I actually should have just gone to the store and pre-ordered it for pickup. Instead I ordered it and had it shipped so I didn’t have to deal with the store, but there was a lot of uncertainty on if the shipment would arrive on time.Next time I may just go to the store.

I wanted a tablet for some time, and I believe I written blog post about it. I was skeptical at first that the iPad would not suit my needs, however after reading more about it I think it will.

My first impressions are very positive. It seems nice and well built. The screen is fantastic. The dedicated iPad apps also pretty neat. I really do need a case that will allow me to stand up on angle but those won’t be available for later in the month. Other than that the lack of other accessories available now I can’t wait to give this a test drive. I opted for the 64 gig WiFi version. Since I have a Verizon MyFi I don’t need to wait for the 3G version.

Dinner With Far Away Friends

Tonight I was able to meet up with a bunch of friends near and far. Joe and Karen were in town so Jason, Gretchen, John, a bunch of Karen’s family, and myself all met up at city crab for dinner. We had a really good time. We all don’t get to see each other that often so was nice to get together, have a nice meal. John, Gretchen, and I on King crab. It was very yummy.

Afterward, we went down the street to the old town Tavern for a few drinks and to just hang out. We always have a good time we get together so it’s sad to see everyone ago. Overall was a fantastic night.

What I found really amusing was that everybody was asking why I had not brought my iPad to dinner. My answer was always why would I bring out to dinner with friends, but everybody still wants it. I find that funny sayings most people have been saying they wouldn’t get one themselves, but were eager to see mine.
